Built around the people who deliver care
Healthcare professionals rely on many different systems and devices throughout their working day. When these do not work together, moving information between them can take time and create unnecessary work.
At Krucom, we start by listening. We seek to understand the people, workflows and systems already in place, then build solutions that fit naturally into their day-to-day work.
Our aim is for the technology to work quietly in the background, connecting information without adding unnecessary steps, menus or interfaces.
The people behind the technology
For brothers Jonathan and Lars Kruger, Krucom’s founders, the relationship between people and technology became clear early in life.
Their father worked as a technician in the radiology department at Lund University Hospital. The department’s workshop became a familiar place, where the brothers explored their interest in technology by tinkering with broken and retired equipment.
Their mother’s work as a nurse offered another perspective: an insight into the people delivering and receiving care. Together, these experiences shaped a belief that useful technology begins with understanding people.
Connecting healthcare since 1993
Back in 1993, while Jonathan and Lars were still students and digital imaging in medicine was beginning to take off, they took on their first challenge: connecting patient information to a new X-ray system that supposedly could not accept patient data.
That first challenge set the direction for Krucom. Today, our X-Tray platform connects clinical systems and medical imaging devices, helping patient information and medical images stay correctly linked throughout the imaging workflow.
