PACS MIGRATION
Krucom provides PACS migration services for transferring diagnostic
images and related data between archives. Our knowledge and experience
is a valuable asset through all phases of a successful migration,
giving your project a head start.
Assessment
The first stage of a migration project is to assess the systems
and requirements involved. Some of the aspects we investigate
are:
- What needs to be migrated?
- Which transfer methods are suitable?
- Is there proprietary data that requires conversion?
- Project timeframe?
Based on the results we present a solution for the migration
of e.g. images, overlays, presentation states and reports.
Customisation
Flexibility is an important factor to be able to fulfil individual
client needs and requests. Customisation is readily available
from Krucom's team of experienced developers. Our standard migrations
tools are combined with customised components to efficiently assemble
a tailored migration system.
Transfer
The Migration Manager® maintains a database of all the data
to be moved. It supervises the migration process and registers
progress. Customised modules provide the necessary data conversion,
RIS synchronisation, prefetch etc.
Verification
When the transfer is complete all anomalies are evaluated and
appropriately processed. Finally, the archives are compared to
verify that all data is accounted for.
